  • Suns' Collin Gillespie: Plans to re-sign with Phoenix

Gillespie intends to sign a four-year, $48 million contract with the Suns, Shams Charania of ESPN reports Saturday.

Gillespie latched on with Phoenix on a two-way deal in 2024-25 before signing a one-year pact with the club last July. Following a career-best year in 2025-26, the 26-year-old guard has earned a long-term deal. Across 80 regular-season outings last season, the sharpshooter averaged 12.7 points, 4.6 assists, 4.1 rebounds, 2.9 three-pointers and 1.2 steals while shooting 40.2 percent from beyond the arc in 28.5 minutes per game.

  • Suns' Collin Gillespie: Caps off breakout year Monday

Gillespie chipped in 20 points (7-12 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 0-1 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 29 minutes during Monday's 131-122 loss to the Thunder in Game 4 of the first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

Gillespie enjoyed a breakout campaign with the Suns in 2025-26. Over 80 regular-season outings, the sharpshooter averaged 12.7 points, 4.6 assists, 4.1 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 2.9 three-pointers in 28.5 minutes per game while shooting 40.1 percent from downtown. Gillespie is set for unrestricted free agency this summer, and he certainly appears to be in line for a multi-year contract, whether it be with Phoenix or elsewhere.

  • Suns' Collin Gillespie: Starting sans Goodwin

Gillespie will start Game 2 against the Thunder on Wednesday, Shane Young of the Suns' official site reports.

With Jordan Goodwin (calf) out, Gillespie will step into the starting five. As a starter during the regular season (58 games), the 26-year-old guard averaged 13.3 points, 4.7 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 29.6 minutes per contest.

  • Suns' Collin Gillespie: Muted production continues

Gillespie ended with five points (1-4 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, one block and one steal in 20 minutes during Tuesday's 114-110 Play-In Game loss to the Trail Blazers.

Gillespie continues to put up underwhelming production, scoring in single digits for the fifth time in his past six appearances. While it has been a breakout season for Gillespie, much of his success came when other players were sidelined. With the team now mostly healthy, he has shifted back to a modest role. During his past six games, Gillespie has barely been a top-300 player, averaging 6.3 points, 1.8 assists and 1.3 three-pointers in just 22.5 minutes per game.

  • Suns' Collin Gillespie: Will play vs. Portland

Gillespie (shoulder) has been cleared to play in Tuesday's Play-In Game against the Trail Blazers.

Gillespie took a seat for the final game of the regular season with a shoulder issue, but he'll be ready to roll for Tuesday's matchup. He didn't have much of an impact down the stretch of the regular season, as he averaged 6.6 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists in his last five showings.

  • Suns' Collin Gillespie: Won't play Sunday

Gillespie (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Thunder.

Gillespie will be held out of Sunday's regular-season finale due to a right shoulder contusion. The 26-year-old guard delivered career highs in several categories and will finish the regular season with averages of 12.7 points, 4.6 assists, 4.1 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 28.5 minutes per game across 80 outings (58 starts). Jamaree Bouyea and Koby Brea will likely see increased playing time for the shorthanded Suns on Sunday.

  • Suns' Collin Gillespie: Iffy to face OKC

Gillespie is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Thunder due to a right shoulder contusion.

The shoulder injury is a new concern for Gillespie, who hasn't missed a game since Jan. 27. If he's unable to play in the Suns' regular-season finale, Jamaree Bouyea, Amir Coffey and Koby Brea would be candidates to see increased playing time, as the team could be very thin in the backcourt.

  • Suns' Collin Gillespie: Starting versus Lakers

Gillespie will start in Friday's game against the Lakers.

Gillespie is back in the starting lineup after operating from off the bench in the Suns' last three contests. In 57 starts throughout the 2025-26 campaign, the 26-year-old has averaged 13.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 0.1 blocks and 1.3 steals across 29.9 minutes.

  • Suns' Collin Gillespie: Sees 24 minutes off bench

Gillespie registered nine points (3-11 FG, 3-8 3Pt), three rebounds, three assists, one block and one steal in 24 minutes during Sunday's 120-110 victory over the Bulls.

After starting in 55 straight appearances, Gillespie was demoted to a bench role Sunday with Jordan Goodwin getting the starting nod. The two players ended up logging 24 minutes apiece, suggesting that this could potentially become a timeshare. This will be a position battle to monitor closely.

  • Suns' Collin Gillespie: Not starting Sunday

Gillespie won't start Sunday's game against the Bulls, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports.

The Suns are switching up the starting lineup, with Jordan Goodwin replacing Gillespie and Mark Williams taking his spot back from Oso Ighodaro. Gillespie has started 55 straight appearances and should still be a major part of the rotation, despite shifting to a bench role. As a reserve (19 games), Gillespie has averaged 11.6 points, 4.8 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.2 steals in 25.5 minutes a night.

  • Suns' Collin Gillespie: Scores 11 points in loss

Gillespie racked up 11 points (4-8 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, three assists and two steals in 27 minutes during Tuesday's 115-111 loss to Orlando.

Even though he remains a player with decent fantasy upside due to the tight grip he has on a starting role, it's worth noting he's been trending in the wrong direction for a while now. Gillespie might have scored in double digits in seven of his last eight games, but over that stretch, he's averaging 12.9 points, 3.4 rebounds and 5.4 assists per contest while shooting 38.5 percent from the floor and 34.8 percent from three-point range.

  • Suns' Collin Gillespie: Collects rare double-double

Gillespie amassed 11 points (4-16 FG, 3-11 3Pt), five rebounds and 10 assists across 32 minutes during Monday's 131-105 victory over the Grizzlies.

Gillespie once again struggled to find his rhythm on the offensive end, as he's now 4-for-24 from the field over his last two games. However, he managed to make up for his shooting woes by dishing out double-digit assists for the third time in 74 appearances this season. Gillespie has scored in double figures in six of his last seven showings, and he should continue to receive plenty of chances to turn things around amidst this brief offensive skid.

  • Suns' Collin Gillespie: Getting back on track

Gillespie finished Tuesday's 125-123 loss to Denver with 11 points (4-11 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds, one assist and one steal over 27 minutes.

Gillespie has now scored in double figures in five consecutive contests, which comes on the heels of a three-game cold spell where he was held to single digits. Over these past five outings, the sharpshooter has averaged 16.2 points, 4.6 assists, 3.4 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 3.8 three-pointers in 30.6 minutes per game while shooting 43.2 percent from deep.

  • Suns' Collin Gillespie: Scores team-high 24 points

Gillespie finished Thursday's 101-100 loss to the Spurs with 24 points (7-13 FG, 6-11 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, six assists and two steals in 34 minutes.

Gillespie led the way for the Suns in this matchup and drained at least six three-pointers for the fifth time this season. The floor general had 17 points in the first half and matched his best scoring mark since the All-Star break. Gillespie has scored in double digits in 10 of his 15 appearances, averaging 12.9 points, 4.1 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game while shooting 40.5 percent from deep in that span.
