Top Alex Fudge News

  • Alex Fudge: Waived by Lakers

Fudge was waived by the Lakers on Friday.

Fudge signed a contract with the Lakers on Thursday but was let go by the organization a day later. It wouldn't be surprising to see him end up in the G League during the 2024-25 campaign.

  • Lakers' Alex Fudge: Signs with Lakers

Fudge signed a contract with the Lakers on Thursday. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

It's unclear if Fudge signed a two-way deal with the Lakers, though that could very well be the case as he spent the 2023-24 campaign on such a deal, appearing in six NBA contests for the Lakers and Mavericks while averaging 2.5 points in 6.7 minutes per game. Even though Fudge will look to battle for a roster spot in training camp, he's likely to spend most of the upcoming campaign in the G League.

  • Alex Fudge: Cut by Dallas

The Mavericks waived Fudge on Thursday, Mike Curtis of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Fudge spent his rookie season on two-way deals with the Lakers and Mavericks, playing 40 total minutes across six regular-season appearances. He'll presumably try to latch on elsewhere on a training camp deal.

  • Mavericks' Alex Fudge: Steps in with 11 points

Fudge accumulated 11 points (5-9 FG, 1-3 3Pt), three steals and two rebounds in 19 minutes during Sunday's 135-86 loss to the Thunder.

Fudge began his rookie season with the Lakers, but was waived in January before Dallas brought him in on a two-way deal in March. He didn't make his season debut for Dallas until the team's loss to the Pistons on Friday, when he logged just seven minutes. However, with more regular rotation players resting for Sunday's regular-season finale, Fudge got more extensive run and looked impressive during garbage time. As a two-way player, the 20-year-old won't be eligible to compete for Dallas in the playoffs, but he remains under contract with the club heading into the 2024-25 season.

  • Mavericks' Alex Fudge: Joins Dallas on two-way deal

Fudge agreed to a two-way contract with the Mavericks on Monday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reports.

Fudge was waived by the Lakers back in January and has been playing for South Bay in the G League. He'll likely continue to see most of his reps in the G League, only this time for the Texas Legends.

  • Lakers' Alex Fudge: Upgraded to two-way deal

Fudge agreed to a two-year, two-way deal with the Lakers on Wednesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.

Fudge reportedly agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal with the Lakers after going undrafted in June, but the forward out of Florida will end up getting Los Angeles' final two-way spot, which was vacated after Cole Swider was waived Wednesday. Fudge appeared in six Summer League games for the Lakers, averaging 3.0 points in 10.4 minutes per contest. The 20-year-old forward will presumably spend most of his first professional season in the G League.
