Draft Scouting Report
        Rating: 70

        Pro Comparison: Anthony Gill

        Summary

A homegrown prospect who barely played as a freshman, Joplin stuck things out at Marquette and emerged as a valuable piece who started every game during his last two years on campus. A hybrid forward with faceup ability, he’s got just enough tools to give him a chance at securing a spot on an NBA roster.
        About

    - Named to All-Big East Third team this season
 - Earned Big East Sixth Man of the Year honors in 2022-23
 - Ranked as the No. 84 prospect in the class of 2021 by 247Sports.

        Strengths

    - Creates matchup problems with his ability to play as a small ball four man or a big wing.
 - Outstanding in the pick and roll. Per Synergy he finished in the 84th percentile nationally as both a P&R ball handler and roll man.
 - Has a strong frame and is a functional athlete who can play through contact

        Weaknesses

        - While he could create matchup problems in college, he is a major tweener at the NBA level.
 - Not the most poppy athlete and doesn’t make a lot of plays at the rim. Per Synergy, only eight of his 159 points at the rim came via dunks or tips.
 - It’s tough to define the one outlying skill that could give him a role on an NBA roster.
