Wednesday betting preview

Blue Jays vs. Mariners, 8:08 p.m. ET

Game 3 of the American League Championship Series takes place Wednesday night, and although it's not technically a must-win for the Blue Jays, it certainly has that feel after they dropped the first two games in Toronto. The Mariners bashed the Blue Jays, 10-3, in Game 2 on Monday after a 3-1 Game 1 victory, and Toronto needs its bats to emerge in the United States. Toronto had the No. 4 scoring offense at 4.93 runs per game during the regular season, but the Blue Jays have failed to reach five runs over 18 innings this series.

The Blue Jays will start Shane Bieber, who went 4-2 with a 3.57 ERA in seven starts this season after coming back from Tommy John surgery in late August. He struggled against the Yankees in the ALDS, allowing three runs (two earned) over 2 2/3 innings in a 9-6 loss. Meanwhile, the Mariners send George Kirby to the mound, and the 27-year-old has a 2.70 ERA in two starts this postseason. For MLB betting, the Mariners are the -140 favorites, with the Blue Jays as +115 underdogs with an over/under set at 7 runs in the latest MLB odds at Fanatics Sportsbook. Use the latest Fanatics Sportsbook promo code here:

Wednesday college football betting

A pair of Conference USA matchups takes place on Wednesday for college football bettors to consider, and the oddsmakers expect two quality matchups on the evening. Sam Houston hosts UTEP at 7 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network, while Jacksonville State vs. Delaware also takes place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. For college football betting, UTEP is favored by 2.5 points, while Delaware is favored by 3 points in the latest college football odds at Fanatics Sportsbook. Both teams are road favorites.,

Sam Houston has the seventh-worst scoring defense, allowing 39.5 points per game this season, while UTEP is near the middle of the pack at 27 ppg, which ranks 72nd in the nation. However, UTEP has been one of the worst offensive teams in the nation, ranking eighth-worst in scoring (14 ppg). Sam Houston isn't much better at 17 ppg (117th in the nation). Jacksonville State, the reigning Conference USA champions, is off to a 2-0 start in the conference and has the nation's leading rusher. Junior Cam Cook leads the country with 832 rushing yards, including a season-high 218 rushing yards last week. Use the latest Fanatics Sportsbook promo code here:

Week 7 NFL betting

This is more of what NFL fans expected from the Chicago Bears with Ben Johnson, the former Lions offensive coordinator, taking over as head coach. After dropping their first two games, including a 52-21 loss to the Lions, the Bears have won three straight, including upsetting the Commanders, 25-24, on Monday Night Football last week. The victory took some luck, as a late Jayden Daniels fumbled handoff exchange significantly helped their odds of a win, but the result is a three-game Chicago winning streak. The Bears have also scored at least 25 points in all three contests.

The Bears host the Saints, and they are 5.5-point favorites in the latest NFL betting odds at Fanatics Sportsbook.  Other intriguing Week 7 NFL contests include Raiders vs. Chiefs (-12.5), Giants vs. Broncos (-7) and Falcons vs. 49ers (-2). Use the latest Fanatics Sportsbook promo code here:
