Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has no plans for a tribute to Micah Parsons during Sunday Night Football with the Green Bay Packers coming to town.

Dallas shipped its best defensive player to Green Bay before the start of the season amid an ongoing contract dispute. The four-time Pro Bowl edge rusher signed a four-year, $188 million deal with the Packers that includes $120 million guaranteed — more than Jones was willing to pay for a re-up.

There will be no video montage or congratulatory messages inside AT&T Stadium in Week 4.

"I don't think that's appropriate this way," Jones said via the Dallas Morning News. "Emmitt [Smith] was a different story. That's not to diminish Micah. I think Micah has enough welcome out there and we just need to show that we've got antidotes for that."

In exchange for Parsons, the Cowboys received two-first round picks -- one in 2026 and another in 2027 -- and defensive tackle Kenny Clark. Parsons publicly criticized the timing of the trade, calling the process "super draining, super toxic for everyone." The late move, finalized Aug. 28, gave Parsons little time to adjust before his first game in Green Bay.

Parsons said he was not "bitter" after the deal, but was admittedly emotional after spending his first four seasons with the Cowboys. Through three games with the Packers, Parsons has 1.5 sacks and is tied for sixth in the NFL in total quarterback pressures (15).

This is the first time Green Bay and Dallas squared off since the Packers' win over the Cowboys in the 2023 NFC wild card playoff game.

"I like Micah. I enjoy his family. Like I said, I've sat at ball games with them apart from the Cowboys," Jones said after Sunday's loss to the Chicago Bears. "As a matter of fact, I watched the whole first half of our last preseason game with his mom. We sat there, watched the whole first half up in the suite together and talked contract."
