Here's every score from pool play at the 2026 World Baseball Classic

The 2026 World Baseball Classic is underway, and Team USA is through to the knockout stage with more drama than expected. The Americans suffered a surprising loss on Tuesday night as Italy beat Team USA, 8-6, in Houston. That result set up a consequential game on Wednesday night between Italy and Mexico. Thankfully for Team USA, Italy was victorious and the U.S. is moving on to the WBC's eight-team knockout stage bracket.

Team USA will face Canada on Friday in the quarterfinals. Canada won Pool A, knocking off Puerto Rico and Cuba in its two most recent games to finish in first place. Team USA finished in second place in Pool B behind Italy.

The unbeaten Italians will go up against Puerto Rico in the quarterfinals. The other two quarterfinal matchups see the Dominican Republic take on Korea, and reigning champion Japan square off with Venezeula.

The 20-team tournament is running through March 17. You can see every score from the group stage below.
